View Composer could be installed on a separate server or on the vCenter server. Having the guides in Part1-5 you should be able to do a complete VDI installation.īefore we begin the with the installation step of the View Composer itself, let’s see the hardware and software requirements which we must satisfy before the installation.

Although only the VMware Horizon View Connection Server is the mandatory from the VDI servers which you need to have a basic featured working VDI, in most cases Replica Server and Composer are also a must for a VDI which will be accessed only through the corporate LAN and Security Server if the VDI will be accesses from outside. Installing VMware View Composer component is the last piece of a complete full-featured VMware Horizon View deployment, except the Transfer Server which is required for offline virtual desktops. I've had a look around here at similar issues but none of the fixes seem to have helped so far (changing the permissions on the Hosts file was one of them, no improvement). Now whenever she tries to install it the process stops halfway through with an Installation Failed error. It was previously not listed in her appwiz.cpl so she uninstalled it from her Apps & Features menu (we think she installed from the Windows App store in the first instance, we need it installed from here). It was installed previously but she was experiencing a problem and we thought uninstalling + reinstalling might help.

I've been trying to help a colleague get VMware (version 5.4.3 at first, but issue persists with other versions) installed on her Win10 PC. Hi All, apologies if this isn't the right area for posting this.
